The Faith United C.O.G. group has been formed as a ministry of and for the young
adults that have become such an important part of the church family.
JESSICA SAMPSON, along with a few others from the young
adult age group, are spearheading this exciting ministry.
This "20ish-30ish" age group has assumed a very
important leadership role at Faith United Church.
Many of them are serving on various boards and committees that are necessary to
keeping things running smoothly and they are very active in a wide variety of
other ministry efforts. They're always looking for ways to get
involved in the community, as well. In the recent past they have reached out to
the community through an Easter Egg Hunt and "Tailgate Trick-or-Treat." They
also coordinated
Faith United's
participation in "Operation Christmas Child,"
otherwise known as "The Shoebox Project," though Samaritan's Purse.
C.O.G. is a fairly diverse group of people. Some of
them are married couples, some are
single, some have children. They share a common desire to draw closer to Jesus
Christ and to each other through a series of Bible studies and activities.
Recent C.O.G. events have included a Road Rally, an overnight canoe trip, a trip to Cedar Point, and
a camping trip to northern Michigan. Several other events are currently in the
planning stages. Come check it out!
