Hello,
friends.
Faith United Church will gather for Worship again THIS Sunday and we hope you will choose to join us. Our prayer is that you will sense God’s presence through the singing, preaching, giving, and other elements of the Worship Celebration.
This Sunday, we will begin a brand new series of sermons, “A FRIEND OF GOD.” The Bible says Abraham, “...was called God’s friend (James 2:23),” and Jesus said, “I no longer call you servants... Instead I have called you friends (John 15:15).” We all have friends and we might even consider some of them to be good friends, but have any of your friends Created a universe? Are any of your friends all-powerful? God is. And He wants to call YOU His friend.
Faith United Church exists to bring God glory by GROWING stronger through worship, warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, broader through ministry, and larger through evangelism.
We invite you to join with the rest of His Church is Worshiping God THIS SUNDAY. Come and sing joyfully whether you are in tune or not, fellowship warmly with those that you meet, pray earnestly with us, give obediently so that God can bless your family, and hear His Word with an open heart.

FELLOWSHIP MEALS: Our Wednesday Night Fellowship Meals are discontinued through the rest of the summer. Watch for them to return in September!

JULY Angel Food shipment. Order Forms
are available on the Literature Table AND at the Angel Food Order Center near
the north doors. Orders are due July 13. You can leave your orders in the secure
box at the Order Center, or give them to BETH PERKINS.

CAN / BOTTLE DRIVE: S.T.A.T.I.C., our Teen Ministry, is collecting bottles and cans as part of their fundraising effort for this summer’s trip to the UnityFest Christian Music Festival. If you want to help out, please bring your bottles and cans to the church and leave them in the Teen Center by July 13. Thanks!
FAITH 101: The Faith 101 event scheduled for June 28 is postponed until the Fall. Please watch for information as to the date it will be rescheduled for.
SOFTBALL: Our guys play RIVERDALE BAPTIST in a double-header Monday night, 6:30pm. The location will be announced.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: V.B.S. is scheduled for the week of July 28-August 1, 2008! Directors MIKE and AMIE LEWIS are working hard with their team to prepare our POWER LAB, a place where boys and girls will discover Jesus’ power. FREECYCLE: Do you have some things lying around the house, or stuffed in the closet that you long longer use, but would be useful to someone else? We invite you to take advantage of our FREECYCLE Ministry. Just bring those items by the church and leave them. We’ll list them here in the bulletin, so that those who might need them can find them and put them to good use. We’re pleased to announce that IRIS THOMPSON has volunteered to coordinate this ministry for us.
