Come Worship With Us!

 School's Out            COOKOUT!

Come celebrate summertime with us WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18, 6:30pm!!! We’ll light a bonfire, roast some dogs, throw some frisbees and horseshoes, Worship a little and have a GREAT time together. This is a PERFECT time to bring a guest or two and introduce them to your friends here at Faith United Church, as well as get to know the folks who are already here. If your last name starts with A-M, bring a big bag of your favorite chips. If you’re N-Z, bring a 2-liter bottle of your favorite soft drink. The church will supply dogs, buns and paperware. The night will end when everyone gets tired and goes home. COME JOIN US!

Iris ThompsonWe have a great time whenever we get together at Faith United Church ...and that's the way it's supposed to be! While we completely understand that Faith United is not the only church around, and we know that we're not going to be for everyone, this just might be the perfect church for you because we're having a BLAST!
"Fellowship" is a word that we use in the church to describe the relationship that exists between people who love Jesus. Even though we're all different, we're crazy about Jesus and that pulls us together.

In the New Testament, which was originally written in Greek, the word, fellowship comes from the Greek word, "koinonia," which means "a partnership of participation." At Faith United Church we believe a person needs to be completely committed to Jesus Christ, first and foremost. After that, we're looking for people who are interested in joining with us to show others the love of God.

When an individual joins Faith United Church they make a commitment to serve God by finding a place of ministry either within the church, or outside it; to do their part in maintaining the strength and unity of this fellowship; and to support the church's leadership as the Bible says to. The warmth of our fellowship comes through a common commitment to Jesus Christ and working together to show His love.

Faith United Church is seeking people who are willing to commit to Christ and this local fellowship by taking up a place of service within the church's life and ministry. We believe God directs His people to specific areas of ministry and service and that everyone within our fellowship should be serving in some way, or actively and prayerfully pursuing God's direction as to where they should serve.

Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:34-35)." As we continue to grow warmer through fellowship we believe that warmth will be seen in the faces of our people and in the open nature of our church family. A warm fellowship will be characterized by joyful people who are always open to welcome someone new.
