The ministries of Faith United Church are focused
on and evaluated according to Ephesians 4:11-16 which says, "It was he [God] who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."
From this important passage of Scripture we've learned
these truths: At Faith United Church our greatest desire is to carry out the ministries God gives us in the way Ephesians teaches us to. We're constantly evaluating and adapting the way we do things to try and make sure we're glorifying God, showing His love, and being a productive part of our community. |

The ministries of Faith United Church are all about preparing people of all ages to serve, or giving them opportunities to serve. While we don't take ourselves too seriously, we're very serious about worshipping God, teaching His Word, and showing His love in our community. We think this is the best way to fulfill our ultimate, Biblical directive, which is: TO SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS THAT JESUS CHRIST GAVE HIS LIFE SO THAT ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CAN BE FORGIVEN OF THEIR SIN AND KNOW GOD.
With that in mind, we're doing our best to give folks a chance to Worship, teach the Bible in ways people can understand regardless of their age or background, to help those in need, open up our building to various community groups, and finding ways to take Jesus Christ into Grand Blanc, Mundy and Flint townships.
Here are just a few of the ministry opportunities that are available here at Faith United:

The Bible says, "Do your best to present yourself
to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who
correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)." At Faith United Church we take the Bible very seriously. We believe it is God's Word
and the source of Truth. Believing that, it just makes sense for us to learn
as much about what the Bible says as we can and then apply what we learn to
the way we live.
Faith United Church offers opportunities for anyone of any age to study the Bible in a variety of ways. CLICK HERE to learn more.

We're absolutely crazy about kids at Faith United Church! Jesus Christ was
crazy about kids, too. He said, "Let
the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of
God belongs to such as these (Luke 18:16)."
Because we love children and because we know Jesus does, too we are investing a great deal in the kids at Faith United Church. We offer age-appropriate Sunday School classes, specially designed Children's Worship, the FaithWeaver Friends Club on Wednesdays, and a truckload of activities and events just for kids.
We'd love to tell you more about our Children's Ministries! CLICK HERE to learn more.

Teenagers are a very important part of Faith United Church.
The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, "Don't let anyone look down on you
because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in
life, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12)." In
light of that, we treasure the things teenagers contribute to this
congregation. We're investing in them because we believe they will change
the world.
We've recently renamed our student ministry, S.T.A.T.I.C. which stands for, "Students Taking Action Together In Christ," and we're very excited about the things that are happening among them.

"The Classics," is a small, but active group within the Faith United Church
family that is made up of "seasoned" adults, mostly 55 and over.
They are a tremendous resource as they are becoming
more and more involved, not only in providing activities for senior adults,
but also by involving senior adults in our efforts to be a positive part of
our community. AUDREY WOOD and DE HENSON currently coordinate this group.

C.O.G.,
or "Children of God," is a group of 20ish - 30ish adults who have recently
become very active in ministry through Faith United Church. They have
quickly become an extremely important part of the church family and
developed a passion for community involvement.

Faith
United Church is working hard to make a positive contribution to the
community God has put us in. We strongly believe Jesus expects us to show
His love by simply being good neighbors and sharing the resources He has
given us. While we certainly don't want to "toot our own horn," we do want
folks to know that we're here and trying to be a blessing.
