Those
of us who call Faith United Church "home," gather for Worship every Sunday at
11:00am. We believe the Bible teaches that there should
be times when God's people gather together to express their praise and
thanksgiving to Him.
Our style of Worship is modern and we are not overly bound by traditions.
However, we are conscious of our Christian heritage, so we maintain a few
traditions of the Church, such as Communion, Baptism, and some special Sundays.
Those traditions we hold to are carefully explained and focused on
Worshiping
God. We Worship with a live band and enjoy modern music with a few hymns mixed
in from time to time. We like to say, "The music has a beat, the sermon has a
point, and the
people have a heart."
Recently we've invested a fair amount of time and money to upgrade our Sanctuary sound equipment with a new keyboard, new amplifiers, and new speakers to improve the quality of our sound and enhance the Worship experience of those who attend on Sundays.
If you've never worshiped with us
before you can expect a casual, relaxed atmosphere. You can dress in whatever
way you're comfortable and we will do everything we can to make you feel
welcome. Our one objective is always to Worship God. Our hope and prayer is that
everyone will be able to express praise and thanksgiving to God in a place that
allows the Holy Spirit to lead us and speak to us. There is time for prayer and
singing, and we often spend a little time greeting each other. Pastor Steve's
sermons are simple and his deepest desire is to let the Holy Spirit lead and
allow the Bible to speak for itself. There is always time for people to respond
to the sermon in the way God leads them.
We would LOVE to have YOU join us for Worship THIS Sunday at 11:00am!
